231st Shiregreen Scout Group

Over the Summer of 2011, the Scout Hut went through some major refurbishment, dragging it from the 1970's in to the 21st century. The entire hut has been rewired, making it safer. The whole internal front end of the building has been rebuilt, moving the front entrance to the front face of the building. This has allowed us to create a much bigger, useable kitchen and to build 2 brilliant toilets and a new disabled/leaders toilet.

At the time of publishing, the work is still ongoing, but as soon as it is complete photos will be uploaded for all to see.

Plans for the Future
Once the work is totally complete, we plan on having a re-opening event to celebrate the work that has taken place, we hope that this will be sometime around Christmas. Further into the future we are looking in to hiring out the hut for social events and to other groups, once a pricing structure is in place we will start the advertising! - Watch this space!
